Hindustan Zinc Ltd. engages in the exploration, extraction, and processing of minerals, and manufacturing of metals. It operates through the Zinc, Lead, Silver and Others; and Wind Energy segments. The Zinc, Lead, Silver and Others segments include lead-zinc mines, rock phosphate mine, hydrometallurgical zinc smelters, lead smelters, pyro metallurgical lead-zinc smelter, sulfuric acid plants, a silver refinery, captive power plants, and solar plants. The Wind Energy segment focuses on the installation of wind power plants. The company was founded on January 10, 1966 and is headquartered in Udaipur, India.
